My mom says people all over praised my great-grandmother for her homemade peach ice cream, and gosh, what I'd do for a bowl of that in this summer heat. 

My family has been picking peaches from the same trees for five generations. Maybe that’s why the ones at my mom’s house are the sweetest I know. Something about them feels like a hug from the past in the present.
